Looking Good Online

In the previous video, you learned about various SKILLS that you can apply in order to look good in the online space.
Here is the summary of visual communication skills:

• take pride in appearance eg hair / face / clothes / style
• wear comfortable clothes
• deep, calming breaths
• posture (superman pose) & body language
• facial expressions
• lighting (from front) **
• camera in-line with face **
• hold mobile device still / handsfree best
• distance to camera – optimise
• Zoom – landscape (horizontal)
• Mobile – verticle (portrait)

Here’s a summary of other communication skills to be aware of in the online space:

• Sound good? Check audio
• Tone of voice / volume / speed / clarity etc

Choose to focus on at least two of these skills next time you join a Zoom meeting OR participate in a video call with a friend, family member or someone inside a dating app.
